About this practice session

This page turns the YouTube video “Come Get Inked With Me” into an English shadowing exercise. The recording is split into 425 short sentences that you can play one at a time, repeat after the speaker and record your own version for automatic pronunciation scoring.

The speaker talks at about 150 words per minute, a fast pace, with an average of 5.1 words per sentence. That makes it best for advanced learners; slow the playback down or loop each sentence at first.

How to practise with this video

Play the first sentence and listen while reading the transcript. Notice the stress, the pauses and where the intonation rises or falls.
Replay it and speak along with the speaker, copying the rhythm rather than reading word by word.

2:40 I have no clue how to pronounce Levi's
2:42 jeans, but it's a nice lovely boot cut
2:45 denim. Just the shape of it that's so

2:50 Perfect. For the shoes, I will go for
2:52 these nice sexy boots. Brand is called

2:58 And these are sexy. The leather feels so
3:01 good on it. But, there's just one part I
3:04 didn't really like about it. It's just I
3:06 love a nice sleek boot, but I'm not a
3:10 big fan of these

3:19 cut off at the shoe repair store.
3:21 I'm planning to do that.
3:23 But, I'm going to wear this. And then,
3:25 it's a bit chilly today. So, I'll just

3:30 jacket.
3:33 Lovely. It's my favorite coat right now,
3:35 too. It fits me perfectly. Nothing to
3:38 complain about this jacket. It's warm,
3:40 as well.
3:41 Wow. So, this is the fit. And don't
3:44 forget to put on some accessories, too,
3:48 because that will spice up your outfit.
3:50 So, what I'm putting on is just this
3:52 nice Hugo Boss watch.
3:56 Nice and shiny. I love this.
3:58 And just three rings on my right hand.

4:04 gave it to me, the updated one. So, I'm
